Food is the cornerstone to your health

My curiosity in nutrition, how the human body works and what a miracle we are, led me to train as a Nutritional Therapist in 2017! I am fascinated by the human body and our connection to this incredible planet, we are nature, it isn’t separate to us.
I trained as a Nutritionist encouraged by a dear friend, Sandra Miskimmin, who I am closely connected to via her company SMASH worldwide. I always knew it to be true, that we are what we eat, and Nutrition is the corner stone to a healthy life. However, only after the death of my beautiful mum in 2015, when I put on a stone in weight because all I wanted to do was eat pie to make me feel better, did I take action to get educated!
I had started to feel sluggish, had trouble sleeping and had more aches and pains and the picture painted by the Orthopaedic Surgeon looked like it might just come true. I thankfully reached my edge where where enough was enough!
I went through the 8-week SMASH program and never looked back. I have health issues because of scoliosis of the spine and a greatly reduce lung capacity because of the structure of my mid-section but I know that I am as healthy as I am now because of how I changed my life through nutrition and reducing toxins. An additional option available throughout our wellness journey together will be for us to review your nutritional intake and for you to make changes based on Nutritional guidance and advice right for your body. This involves completing a food diary, answering key lifestyle questions, and education in what nutrients your body is lacking to maintain wellness. Many of my clients do lose weight as they process and let go of old patterns, especially where food has been the coping mechanism to avoid feeling, but the main intention of the service is to improve overall physical wellness. The mind body connection and pathological symptoms to living in stress will be explored. Gentle healing will begin.
